Requests & Approvals

What is an approval?

Mission Control watches the places your business already gets work done — your inbox, your forms, your existing tools — and proposes actions based on what comes in. An approval is one of those proposed actions, waiting for a yes from you.

Nothing happens until you say so. When something comes in, Mission Control doesn't act on it right away — it shows you what it wants to do, and you decide. Approve it, and it goes through. Reject it, and nothing happens. There's no in-between state where something's "sort of" done without your say-so.

Some approvals bundle more than one action together — say, updating a contact record and drafting a reply email in the same request. You can approve or reject each piece individually before deciding on the whole thing.

Every decision you make is recorded, so you always have a full history of what happened and when. See Understanding your approval history.
